I loved lemon drops and yellow labs
The smell of rain and brand new books
I loved to people watch on buses
And to smile at strangers because my mother said it would
make their day
I wanted to make people happy
When I think of happiness
I think of my sister’s burnt caramel colored hair that falls into ringlets on her shoulders that gently bounces when she laughs
I think of my mother’s hazel green eyes
that sparkle when she’s proud of me
It’s that warm fuzzy feeling in your chest
That spreads down to your fingertips
that tells you stick around for another one of those rainstorms
just to smell the rain after it’s passed

I want to become a child life specialist at a children’s hospital and work with teens with chronic diseases and open a coffee shop/bookstore in my free time.
An adult that inspires me the most is my older sister.
