Sticks
Weaving around
Through the air
Just like our lives
Constantly changing course
Leaves
Showing their health
In many shades of colors
But still
Helpless
To the power of the frigid wind
Just like ourselves
Better in the warmth of the sun
Birds roosting in the maze of moss covered branches
Nests made of layers of sticks and hay
Providing a promising shelter
Just like our houses
To protect ourselves
The roots down under
The life source of it all
Providing all the proper nutrients
To survive
Just like our food
To strengthen ourselves
Back to our best self
The towering tree
That seems to be lifeless sometimes
Is still a whole world inside
Hosting an entire variety of life
Just like ours
Still
Remember
That the tree is a world
Just like ours
