Brown Girl Dreaming by Jacqueline Woodson
My dream for the future is to succeed in college graduation, and become a successful lawyer or attorney. As for the world? I want progress to continue being made. We’ve made lots so far, but we still have a long way to go. I want to see a future filled with equality and purged of the war, hate and injustice that currently stands.
My mother inspires me the most, as she’s taught me to be resilient in the tough situation, and to give my all in everything I do. She has always been a role model for me, and I would never trade her for anyone else. My mom’s strength, bravery and intelligence have always motivated me to do the best I can.
